A long-time label friend whose work in tenants' rights organizing informs her expression as a producer and DJ, C Powers joins Island F with three colorfully bouncy and emotive cuts.

'Moss Roof' leads the way with a wriggling rhythm section and ecstatic strings set in the misty streets of the Pacific Northwest, while 'Teargas Neighborhood' continues the story of a community solidarity march with drum cadence, chord chop and vocoder funk. 'Trivago Slough' closes the release with tightly swung micro-drums laying the tracks underneath playful Korg organs and strangely disembodied vocal melodies.
